What window film costs.
Every quote is free, on-site and firm. We do not publish a per-window price because window film is priced by square footage, film type and access — and guessing at those from a website would only mislead you. Here is exactly what moves the number.
What you are actually paying for.
Which film
A basic dyed solar film and a spectrally selective ceramic film do not cost the same, because they are not the same material. Ceramic and multi-layer security films carry a real material premium — and deliver the performance to match.
How much glass
Price tracks square footage more than window count. Two large picture windows can cost more than eight small ones, so we measure rather than count.
Access and prep
Ground-floor sliders are quick. Stairwell glass, two-storey great-room walls, fixed transoms and anything needing ladders or lifts takes longer and prices accordingly.
Frame and pane type
Single-pane, double-pane, low-E, tempered and laminated glass each change which films are safe and how much prep the pane needs before the film goes on.
Existing film removal
Old failing film has to come off before new film goes on. Stripping purple, bubbled film off a whole house is real labour and gets quoted as a separate line so you can see it.
Add-ons
The optional glass breakage protection add-on is quoted alongside the film. It is a small additional cost and it is entirely your call.
How it pays back
Solar film cuts cooling costs by roughly 10–30% in summer by rejecting heat before it reaches the glass. Low-E film cuts heat loss by roughly 10–20% in winter by reflecting your own radiant heat back inside. On a typical Utah property those two together put the payback period around 2–3 yrs.
The savings are the measurable part, but they are usually not why people call. Most customers call because one room is unusable in the afternoon, or the hardwood in front of the south windows has visibly faded, or the front of the house feels like a fishbowl at night. Those are the problems film solves immediately.
Start small if you want
You do not have to do the whole house. Plenty of customers treat the worst two or three rooms, live with it for a season, and call us back for the rest. The film, the install standard and the Sleek Promise are identical whether it is three windows or thirty. The only constraint is the $500 job minimum.
Pick the service, then get the number
- Heat control film — Reject solar heat before it reaches the glass, even out room temperatures, and cut cooling costs.
- UV protection film — Block 99% of UV at the glass and stop floors, furniture, art and merchandise from fading.
- Privacy film — See out clearly during the day while the view in is obscured — no blinds, no lost light.
- Security film — Hold glass together on impact, delay forced entry, and protect against storm and hail damage.
- Decorative & frosted film — Frosted, light-diffusing film for full privacy day and night without going dark.
Figures are industry-typical ranges for solar and Low-E window film, not a guarantee for your specific home. Actual savings depend on window orientation, existing glass, and local energy rates.
