The newer growth in North Logan, Hyde Park, Smithfield, Providence and Nibley is the opposite: insulated builder glass, tall great-room windows, and very little mature shade. Glare control usually tops the list there, with heat rejection close behind.

Commercially, the valley is main-street retail and offices in Logan, medical and dental suites, and offices attached to agricultural and food-processing operations spread through Hyrum, Wellsville, Richmond and Lewiston. Street-facing glass wants solar control and daytime privacy from one film; interior glass in clinics and offices usually wants frost for privacy while keeping borrowed daylight.
